Powdery white sand beaches are common in Bantayan, an island 140km north of Cebu City in the Visayas, and the municipality of Sta. Fe in its southern side hosts some of the most stunning shores you'll ever see like Sugar Beach and Alice Beach. Using a drone, traveler @movegk took a snap of the lagoon, with water so clear it's like crystal, fronting Kota Beach Resort. Clearly the snap has captured the naturally odd shape of the beach and we admit we're quite taken. For more gems like Kota's lagoon, rent a native outrigger boat to nearby islands like Virgin Island, also known as Silion Island, a 30-minute ride away.
How to get there
Philippine Airlines flies from Manila to Cebu City. From Cebu City, head to the North Bus Terminal to get on a Ceres Liner bus bound for Hagnaya port in San Remigio, Cebu. The trip takes about two and a half to three hours. At Hagnaya port, catch a ferry bound for Sta. Fe port in Bantayan Island, a one hour travel. Take a tricycle or habal-habal to your booked resort or Kota Beach Resort.
