All roads lead to Binondo, Manila's Chinatown, as the city ushers in Chinese New Year which falls this year on January 28. Celebrations start 15 days in the run-up to the big day, with major landmarks and buildings all lit up,  and streets decked with red paper lanterns and lucky buntings.

If you haven't been to Binondo, the oldest Chinatown in the world, established in 1594, now's a good time to see it at its festive best.

We've rounded up some of our favorite Instagram snaps celebrating the Year of the Fire Rooster 2017. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
