The municipality of San Agustin in Surigao del Sur has 24 islands, the largest called Boslon Island, one of the most beautiful patches of icing sugar beach in the Philippine archipelago. All 24 islands in this area belong to the Britania group, many uninhabited and off the tourist radar. Pack a picnic and your swimming and snorkelling gear and luxuriate in the crystal clear waters of this island.

Philippine Airlines flies from Manila to Butuan City. From Butuan City, it's a three-hour ride to Britania Islands. You can hire a private vehicle to get to the islands or take a bus, get off at Salvacion junction to get to a tourist assistance center for a guide and help with hiring a motorcycle to take you to Boslon and the islands of Britania.
