Pagudpud’s Saud Beach, roughly 565 kilometers from Metro Manila, offers a scenic tropical escape fronting the West Philippine Sea. With two kilometers of fine white sand, this beach is a long, curved playground for swimming, surfing and other water activities. Coconut trees line the pristine stretch. At the end of the day, wait for the sunset, which is especially beautiful in this northwestern beach. Comparisons to Boracay – another white sand oasis – are frequent, but even at a closer distance to Metro Manila, Saud remains quieter and less crowded than the famous Aklan island.
How to get there
From Metro Manila, take the GV Florida Transport bus at their terminal on Earnshaw Street, Sampaloc, Manila headed straight to Pagudpud. Travel time is roughly 10 to 12 hours. From the Pagudpud town center, Saud Beach is only a tricycle ride away.
