TRAVEL + VIDEO: Starscape in Baler, Aurora

Hundreds of sparkling stars, a few shooting off into the night sky were captured by Aaron Palabyab in this short timelapse video taken in Baler, Aurora. The video shows the Milky Way seeming to revolve around Polaris, the North Star, the stationary star just off to the right and below the center of the image.

The Milky Way is the galaxy that holds our planet Earth. It contains about 100–400 billion stars and at least 100 billion planets. Our Solar System is located within one of its spiral arms.
