The 11th International Boracay Island Dragonboat Festival at White Beach, Boracay Island, Aklan, will be held on April 20 to 22. More than one thousand rowers from all over the world, including teams from Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Dubai, the US, Canada, are expected to fly in to compete in the 250- and 500-meter races and other small boat categories. The festival is organized by the Boracay Island Paddlers Association (BIPA), in cooperation with the Municipality of Malay.

Emma Watson is back on the big screen on April 28, as Mae, who has just landed a dream-come-true job in the world’s largest, most coveted tech and social media company in the film “The Circle”. As Mae climbs up the corporate ladder, company owner Eamon Bailey, played by Tom Hanks, gives her the chance to be part of a groundbreaking experiment, which questions privacy, ethics and personal freedom. Direction and screenplay by James Ponsoldt, co-written by Dave Eggers based on his original novel.

Mark April 30 on your calendar for the Grand Coronation Night of beauty pageant Binibibing Pilipinas 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Pasay City. Forty young ladies from different provinces in the country will vie for the crown and represent the country in the next Miss Universe pageant.
