What’s on? Christmassy camping at Alviera

Forget the malls. Pack your kids in the car and come for an action-packed day or an overnighter at this family-friendly Christmassy camping site

Looking for some pre-holiday fun for the family? Alviera Christmas Jamboree is holding Christmas-themed camping adventures on its grounds in Porac, Pampanga on November 28 and 29. Alviera, AyalaLand’s latest development in Porac

Its Day Dasher package includes roundtrip transfers from Manila to Alviera, free use of SandBox facilities, access to the Christmas Jamboree Day Workshops, and passes to the evening stage shows and entertainment and the Starlight Cinema.

Four tents will hold the day activities, which includes designing your own Christmas cookies and traditional Filipino Christmas ornaments like husk angels to hang on a Christmas tree, parol (lantern) making sessions, and Quiz Kringle, a Christmas-themed quiz bee session.

At night, there will be a prancing poi booth where guests can learn to dance and move with LED lights, a one-hour chorale concert, an activity called Merry-oke Sessions or karaoke sessions to the tune of Christmas songs, and outdoor Christmas movies. And don't miss the guided stargazing —telecopes will be set up on site—with astronomy experts on hand to give a helping hand, and Saint Nick’s Wishing Corner where Santa Claus will be present to give Christmas cheer. 

The Christmas Camper Package allows you to enjoy everything offered on the Day Dasher package along with an overnight campsite stay with free use of a Coleman tent, a bonfire treat complete with grilled dinner set, a merry buffet breakfast the next day, and access to Camper Exclusive activities, which includes singing around the campfire with ukuleles or joining a ukulele workshop, and designing your own Christmas stockings.

The campsite will be set up at SandBox at Alviera with a 360-degree view of surrounding hills and mountains, and will be decorated with life size Christmas displays and lit with parols or Filipino lanterns. The site is able to accommodate up to 300 campers at a time.

The camping event is in partnership with travel outfitter Travel Factor and Coleman.

The Day Dasher costs P1,900 per person, while the Christmas Camper costs P2,850 per person. Kids four feet and below get a special rate: P1,050 for the Day Dasher and P1,750 for the Christmas Camper. To book, visit www.travelfactor.org.
