4ML Beach in Maasim, Sarangani

This surreal, dreamlike photo of mangrove roots jutting out along a rocky portion of 4ML Beach in Maasim, Sarangani province, South Cotobato, Mindanao was taken by Leonard Pe. A long stretch of the beach—still very much off the tourist radar— is fine white sand. Sarangani province is a great for snorkeling and diving.

Where to stay Lemlunay Resort in Sarangani province has airconditioned rooms with sea views. The resort faces Sarangani Bay to the left and the Sulawesi sea to the right and is a good base for diving and snorkelling.

How to get there  Philippine Airlines flies from Manila to General Santos city. From the airport, you can catch a cab to Maasim, a 30-minute drive. There are airconditioned vans at downtown GenSan area that depart for Maasim.
