Take me to...Lovers' Peak

Climb up this gentle slope and catch a sunrise that will take your breath away

They say this vantage point in Adams, Ilocos Norte is the best place to watch the sunrise, but evidently, it looks stunning no matter what the time of day.

It only takes a 30-minute uphill walk from the town proper to get to the peak, from where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Tinamburan mountain ranges. Get up early in the morning to catch a view of the misty mountains, before heading off  to see other Adams attractions, such as the Anuplig falls.

Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines fly from Manila to Laoag daily. From Laoag,  take a minibus (about P60) from the Laoag Bus Station to Pagudpud, and from there, take a tricycle (P20) to Pancian, the jump-off point to Adams.

From Pancian, hire a motorbike to Adams town proper. Travel time is 1.5 hours with fare from about P150, good for two people.
