Aetas Glamping El Nido
, located in the village of Villalibertad, an eight-minute drive from the main town of El Nido in Palawan, takes glamping in the Philippines up a notch, with luxurious tents with a verandah, private toilet and shower, and power outlets for your devices, that you'd hardly notice you've left your hotel. Unless of course you peek outside and see forest and rice fields.

Each of the Aetas' four tents is imported from Africa, made with high-grade canvas and wood. And each tent has a private toilet and shower with hot and cold running water and handmade toiletries. Furniture include wooden chests, benches, and wardrobes  made by local artisans. The tent has power outlets, electric fan, lighting fixtures, and a variety of board games, from chess board to sungka, a Filipino board game. The bed in the tent called “perfect serenity” is made to order from Manila. An oil burner perfumes the air.

"Tent service" (room service) is available. You can order a la carte lunch or dinner, which consists mostly of typical Filipino fare like adobo (soy and vinegar stew), pancit (stir-fry noodles), curry dishes, vegetables, and pork and chicken dishes.
